University: Makerere University
We extend our warmest congratulations to Katsigaire Collins, a 24-year-old from Uganda and a proud graduate of Makerere University, where he earned a Bachelor of Commerce degree.
Collins is a driven and ambitious individual who has overcome significant challenges to reach this milestone. Coming from a humble background, he has always dreamed of making a meaningful impact on the lives of others.
Reflecting on his journey, Collins credits the SIMA Impact Foundation Scholarship as a transformative force in his academic success. “The scholarship enabled me to sit my examinations by ensuring timely payment of tuition, something I could not have achieved on my own,” he shares.
One poignant moment during his studies solidified his passion for impact investing. “There was a student on campus who was unable to sit her final exams due to lack of tuition. Witnessing this deeply moved me and inspired a dream to one day create investments that directly impact lives.”
Collins emphasizes the importance of supporting students from Sub-Saharan Africa and South Asia, regions he describes as underserved. He believes that by empowering these communities, we can foster a ripple effect of change, enabling them to uplift others and drive positive transformation.
Grateful for the support he received, Collins expresses profound appreciation for the scholarship’s role in shaping his future. “There are no words that can fully capture my gratitude. I promise to pay this forward and make a difference in many lives.”
He extends his heartfelt thanks: “To all the members and managing directors of the SIMA Impact Foundation, thank you for believing in me and giving me the opportunity to achieve my dreams.”
Katsigaire Collins’ story is a testament to the power of education, perseverance, and the life-changing impact of thoughtful support.
