Undergraduate Degree: Bachelor of Commerce
University: Makerere University
Congratulations to Nyanyuka Catherine, a proud graduate of Makerere University with a Bachelor of Commerce degree.
Catherine’s journey is a story of resilience and determination. Growing up as the sixth child in a family of 13, she faced profound challenges, including the loss of her mother at a young age. This life-changing event fueled her motivation to work tirelessly toward becoming someone her mother would be proud of.
With support from the SIMA Impact Foundation Scholarship Program, Catherine pursued her dream of higher education. This support became the bridge that connected her aspirations to reality.
Reflecting on her experience, Catherine shared how the Foundation’s efforts left a lasting impression on her. “The smiles the Foundation puts on the faces of sponsored students and the ripple effect of its investments are memories that will always inspire me,” she said.
Catherine is a firm believer in uplifting others. She passionately advocates for increased support for students from Sub-Saharan Africa and South Asia, regions where financial hardships often shatter the dreams of countless talented individuals. “Many students have a bright future, but the lack of tuition fees to see them through school shatters their dreams,” she emphasized.
Through the scholarship program, Catherine’s aspirations have been transformed into reality. “The scholarship has enabled me to achieve the degree I once dreamed of. Now, I am ready to step into the career world, grow as an individual, and give back to the SIMA Impact Foundation,” she remarked.
Catherine extends her heartfelt gratitude: “I would like to express my sincere appreciation to the SIMA Impact Foundation Scholarship Program for giving me the opportunity to complete my university education.”
Catherine’s story highlights the importance of providing opportunities for students to reach their potential. With the right support, education can truly change lives and open doors to a brighter future.
